‘Producing: look after everyone, trust your instincts, find the story – and make it up as you go along.’

David Jubb, Battersea Arts Centre

Welcome to my blog.

This space captures my journey in my fourth year of the Contemporary Performance Practice programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, as the student producer of ‘Into The New’ festival in January 2015.

Specialising in producing and exploring its artistic practice, this blog consists of theoretical research, reflections and my overall journey through this exciting project.

This space is for me to reflect/imagine/examine/explain/expand/grow/explore.

Before working on Into The New, I have worked on ‘NEU/NOW Festival’ at RCS/GSA and ‘HOT’ Festival at Tramway as assistant producer, I work with The Glasgow School of Art on various projects.

In February I will be producing ‘A Room To Share’, a mini-festival of Bridge Week projects at the RCS, working on ‘Dance Massive’ in Melbourne, Australia and returning to Glasgow to work as assistant producer on ‘DIG’ Festival at Tramway in May.

I have three headings for my blog posts:

– enquiry

– visual research

– reflection

Click on the paragraph icon on the right hand side of this page, and then on any of these headings find blogs relative to each subject heading.

Hope you enjoy reading about my journey!
